I've found the mixed media section! Ha! About time. Well, here is a piece I have been agonizing over for the last couple of weeks, and I'm finally finished with.
Inspired by the fabulous composition by Schubert based on a poem by German poet Matthias Claudius. Here it is in English:
"Maiden: Pass me by! Oh, pass me by! Go, fierce man of bones! I am still young! Go, rather, And do not touch me. And do not touch me.
Death: Give me your hand, you beautiful and tender form! I am a friend, and come not to punish. Be of good cheer! I am not fierce, Softly shall you sleep in my arms!" (Courtesy of Wikipedia)
If you're into classical music, I highly recommend you check Schubert out!
I love this picture. I came across it in Spectrum 18, because I've been doing short stories each day in January based on pictures from the Spectrum volumes. I only wanted to point out that they misspelled your name there, I only found this out through Google. It says Abital I. Larson for some reason. Hopefully you already know this and they corrected it in later version.
Yeah... I was soooo pissed about that! And it was weird because when they announced the artists who would be in the book, they listed my name correctly there, and in the letter they sent me! I guess whoever was adding captions just wasn't paying attention. Oh well. Glad you like the piece!
