Samara and the Burning Tree by AbigailLarson Samara and the Burning Tree by AbigailLarson
"The Ring" is definitely one of my top favorite horror films. I find it visually gorgeous, a great story, and the score blows my mind. It's really a masterpiece. This painting was a real pleasure to make!

Ink & watercolor, the black background was done in Photoshop.

I've never seen the film, I'm only 16. But I saw my name and I was curious... Brilliant picture. She's a bit creepy by put beautifully done!

I use a lot of layers - I start with a light wash in the background, then build up the tones and shadows to my liking :)
